Mauricio Perin aka @maperns is a Brazilian designer born in the late 80’s, infatuated by illustration, somewhat intrigued by social interactions, and yet, amused by the eccentricities of people.
Despite imaginarily living in an estate house in North Yorkshire with his two pet ravens — Thomas Dundale and Catherine of Winchester — Mauricio actually lives in Paraná, Brazil, with two whitish cats and his lovely wife. After some sort of a Grand Tour made during 2012, he resettled in the southern city of Curitiba, in a slim apartment building near the new centre, not very far from the University of Paraná – where he graduated as a Visual Designer back in 2011.
Between 2006 and 2012 he was Art Director of game developer team Aduge. Together they created Qasir al-Wasat, a stealth action adventure game set in para-natural 12th Century Syria. The title was properly released in January 2016, when the team was reunited in the form of a short lived video game publisher known as Zueira Digital.
Since early 2013 Mauricio works as a freelancer Graphic Designer & Illustrator with clients across Brazil and overseas.
